I'm often intimidated by fitted clothes but I'm loving this Veronik Waistcoat Vest! It elevates a simple dress, skirt or pants and is super comfortable. I love the double welt pockets but you can choose a different length or pocket style. The vintage belt buckle I found in my stash has mother of pearl and I chose to make covered buttons.

Ellie & Mac have some great sales this week! The Carmen Casual Cami top is both comfortable and easy. This week the pattern is only $3.50 USD. I used a Bouble brushed poly and its great for wearing alone or under other shirts. I added elastic into the straps to go specifically under one of my dresses but still looks great on its own. Sizes xxs to 6XL.

New adventure with Ellie & Mac. I had zero faith that the shantelle shirred top and dress pattern would look even "okay" on me but I love it! This pattern comes in 5 lengths, (two shirt ans 3 skirt), a choice of 3 sleeve lengths and you can choose not to do the shirring. Scared of shirring? I've been a bit busy but here is my latest make. Straight Fit Zip It Jacket on sale for $3.50 USD. I made this reversible jacket for my youngest and he loves it. Waffle on one side jersey on the other. I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

Look what I made! My Timeless Trench Coat is made from a heavy wool like polyester (honestly it was from my grandmother's stash so I don't know what it is), a taffeta for the lining and I made covered buttons. This is a pattern that I will definitely use again. I Love this pattern and I want to make the shorter version in a lighter weight fabric for summer. Ellie and Mac have great patterns and even have tutorials that you can sew along with and tutorial on proper pattern adjustments for that perfect fit.
