FATHER’S DAY GIFT SHOWCASE!

Do you have a Grandpa, Dad, Brother, Son or good buddy in your life that appreciates second hand, that appreciates nostalgia and is somewhat quirky and fun? If so, instead of looking on the shelves at Target or scrolling on Amazon for a cool purchase, come to WORDS AND MUSIC-Birch Run Outlets for your Father’s Day gifts!

Do you have someone that appreciates the water, loves sailboats or maybe OWNS a sailboat; he may like a hand painted Sailboat painting or a Navy Blue cast iron nautical wheel decor or a nautical pillow, if he likes the beach, maybe a nice canvas of “Rock People” or leafing through a “Lighthouses of Michigan” book. I ran across this streamlined metal VANPE Inc typewriter table and thought it would make a cool bar for the industrial minimalist!!

Table is on wheels for easy transport. The sides pop up for work space when in use, but then can be tucked away for a space saving option.

The center has a ribbed rubber mat which is good for stabilizing glassware and bottles. I am in the market to restore items I find, but not this one. This table needs to stay as is. It’s circa 1950 and has been around the block. I think outside of some scratches, and uneven gray paint, it wears its age well…it’s sturdy, yet skinny. It’s manly and mature at around 70ish years old. I actually had a typewriting class in high school and remember these tables, altho I am def not 70.

This would make a unique mini bar cart….Think decanters, some rocks glassware, a couple of wine glasses….use your imagination🤗

This bunch of pretties will be tagged and in my space ready to go to their next home by the weekend!!

I love the hand crochet doillies, I think they are so pretty. I know a Grandma group met monthly and created different ones with their own precious hands👵

The Chevron Red, White and Blue baby blanket is perfect for a 4th of July baby boy 🧨🎆🎇

The Knott’s Berry Farms Strawberry canisters with the metal clasp are super cute displayed and are useful treat storage🍪🍪

I am very fond of the beautiful Bone China trinket dishes, my own Grandma had them on her dresser and in her bathroom to hold her earrings and rings. I still have 1 of hers by my bathroom sink to put my earrings on at night. 😊

The thick glass cruet is good for serving Mimosas at brunch, the etched floral 1950’s aluminum serving riser is good for showcasing small petite desserts or as a jewelry tray, the Japanese plate and bowl are good for sliced lemons or limes, the flower candle holders are dainty and girly, the Vintage small canisters are good for sugar, flour or tea bags and the ceramic bird coasters are stylish with their spiral gold tray holder.

I will prolly add more items too, but I’m telling ya’ll …this batch is very cute and fun….🌸..just come and see every thing for yourself on Friday at

I sold a few more items, along with a long cream colored BLESSED sign, (not pictured) so if you were eyeing them, they went to their new home!
I am also including items that have previously sold. Remember, I am just now learning how this works🤔😬. The techy stuff is not easy for me.

I am extremely appreciative for every sale, every item, no matter how big or how small that gets picked up. It helps me to know that I am on the right track. And as my daughter stated, “We are making people happy”.

My style is not one of priceless antiques, it never will be. My style is comfortable; painted accent tables, oil paintings, home decor, afgans, bone china trinket dishes and just things I find to be unique or interesting.

I am evolving. When I started in April, I feel items are different from what I like now and that is ok. I like changing things, I like moving things around, I like redesigning stuff or finding different uses for items that might have another purpose that no one thought of…that is the beauty of having a booth…I am doing what I want……I make the rules…some things work, some do not. I am learning them both and it is the funnest “Job” I’ve ever had🌺☀️🌼

ITEM OF THE DAY:

All the work is done for you in a nice gift package.

I took a VINTAGE Walnut wood parquet snack bowl and added old fashioned root beer and cream soda, popcorn kernels, 2 mini popcorn seasonings and a bag of gourmet pretzels for the perfect Father’s Day gift.

I have 3 available; all are different with regard to soda and popcorn seasoning flavors, but all have the beautiful wood bowl that is really the showcase.

These bowls bring me back to eating popcorn in my Grandparent’s living room when I was a kid. I have several bowls in my own cabinet at home that we use for chips or fruit, very reminiscent of 70’s and 80’s.

There are 1 round parquet bowls and 2 square wood bowl available. The one shown is $17.00 and is wrapped with care. They all have crinkle cut Blue filler, plastic wrap and a Blue tulle ribbon. Grab a card and you’re DONE🤗

Pick up location is at The BLUE Ladybug vendor booth (look for the pretty floral wall paper 🥰) inside Words and Music Antique Store.

Hi friends!!

We made it to the weekend☀️🌺☀️🌸

I do not have pictures of all the items I’ve sold the last week or so, but here are some.

I am always bringing new items in so my booth stays fresh, organized and nice. I do not like clutter so you will find a curated, cohesive space when you are visiting The BLUE Ladybug.

I will have a Pink accent chair, a refurbished wooden bread box and some other project pieces finished and up at the booth by next week.

There is an inside flea market this weekend happening at the Birch Run Outlets that is always the first Saturday of the month. It is across from WORDS AND MUSIC, so if you are in the area, walk across the parking lot to our store. We have 54 vendors and it is not all about books and music, altho we do offer all of that….there is so much more… if you are appreciate antiques and vintage and nostalgia come browse…..all the vendors do a great job at showcasing their goods. I admire everyone’s displays.

Hi there, I am gonna be transparent and say that I do not know what I am doing with regard to starting up my vendor space!!! I am not a professional…Yet. I am learning as I go. I am also not a techy person, but I am trying. I am not the best photographer either so I will try to get better at that too😬…..and with all the things I am not…I am other things…I am excited about my space, I am learning and growing and doing new things and am enjoying all of it🤩

I feel truly blessed and am very thankful. I have sold quite a bit of stuff, so if you see pictures from last week or so, some items will be gone. I am always refreshing and bringing in new items too.

I am happy to report I sold my very first refurbished side table and am very proud of that. Hopefully this is just the beginning because that is truly what I want to do; is to continue to refurbish things and give them a second life. Revive, refurbish, and transform😊

I want to say thank you to every one that follow me, thank you for sharing my page and liking my posts. Thank you for cheering me on. I appreciate all of it🥰
