Come make some art with me Saturday afternoon! 🎨

I’m teaching Lines, Color & Balance: Inspired by Mondrian at the Alabama Art Academy. We’ll spend a little time looking at Mondrian and the ideas behind his work, then experiment with lines, shapes, balance, rhythm, and primary color before creating our own original compositions on canvas panels.

This is a fun one even if you’ve never painted before. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided.

Come draw with me this Saturday! ✏️

I’m teaching our Beginning Drawing class at Alabama Art Academy, and if you’ve ever said, “I can’t draw,” this one really is for you.

We’re going to play with different drawing pencils and learn what all those H’s and B’s actually mean, then experiment with charcoal, shading, highlights, and color. We’ll work on lines and shapes first and build our way toward making simple objects look three-dimensional.

You don’t need any drawing experience, and you definitely don’t need to already be “good at art.” We’re going to learn, experiment, and have some fun with a whole bunch of drawing materials.

I’d love to have you join me Saturday! ❤️

The class is only $20 and we will provide all the tools for you to play with.
