Some exciting news from our team.
We’ve officially outgrown our studio.

While we’ll always have a soft spot for the space that helped launch Greene & Co, we’re thrilled to share that we’re expanding into a larger studio & shoppe while remaining right here in Birmingham.

This community has been an important part of our story from day one. The relationships, collaborations, local businesses, and clients we’ve met along the way have shaped who we are, and we couldn’t be more excited to continue investing in this incredible design-forward community.

Our new home will give us more room to create, collaborate, curate, and welcome clients into an even more immersive Greene & Co Interior Design experience - filled with a larger curated library of our most unique partners, finishes & furnishings - and some brand new introductions to the Birmingham community for you to shoppe, create & be inspired.

More details (and behind-the-scenes progress) of our new home in Birmingham’s Rail District , coming soon.

As part of this transition, our current studio at 574 N. Old Woodward will be available for sublease or lease. If you’ve been thinking about a unique downtown Birmingham space, maybe this special corner, on a very special block is right for you.

Small footprint. Big function. Even better style.

Downtown living asks a lot from every square inch, so creative problem-solving becomes the design brief: maximize storage, flexibility, and beauty without making the space feel overworked.

For this kitchen, we designed a mobile island with hidden storage on the back, architectural detailing that intentionally celebrates soft curves against the more modern architecture , and casters so it can move and shift as life does.

Designed in collaboration with (& brought it to life) this custom walnut piece brings warmth, function, and a cozy layer for people to gather in the space.

Some of our favorite ways to add thoughtful layers to a well-planned kitchen:
• impactful lighting moments layered against crafted materials
• special hardware details & thoughtfully mixed finishes throughout the space
• running-match stone — it feels far more natural, organic & impactful than heavily book-matched applications, especially when wrapped vertically
• cabinetry designed more like furniture pieces than standard upper & lower boxes
• inset doors — a detail reserved for select semi-custom & full-custom cabinetry that requires a higher level of craftsmanship, and it shows

Kitchens require an equal balance of aesthetic vision & functional planning. A beautifully planned layout without thoughtful design detailing quickly becomes forgettable — while a stunning kitchen without strong functionality never fully works for everyday living. The magic is in creating spaces that do both effortlessly.

Color-washed in a grounding, moody green, this library was designed to be layered, tailored, and completely lived in. Transitional at its core, it balances structure with softness so the space feels refined without ever feeling formal.
