For the most part, Oliver has been a very easy puppy. He’s the sweetest boy, picked up potty training very quickly, and stays out of trouble most of the time 😇

Apparently this week he realized he has less than a month left in his puppy era and needed to fit in at least one dramatic puppy incident before turning one 🙄

That meant giving himself a soap burn on his eye and earning himself a weekend field trip to the vet…with a follow-up field trip already booked for next weekend 😭

Please send all the quick healing vibes 🤍 I have a feeling we’re about to spend a lot of time this week wrestling over the eye drops 😅🤭

Why hunt eggs when you can hunt rats? 🐀🐰

The kids had the best time this weekend at the Rocket City Ratters barn hunt trial in Harvest! They both earned their novice titles (RATN) 🏆 Charlotte came in 1st and 2nd for two of her qualifying runs, and Oliver came in 4th.

Thank you to our trainer for all the classes and for helping get them ready for their first couple of trials 🫶🏻 We’re excited to keep going and figure out what sport we want to try next 👀

Oliver also had his first hotel stay, which I was very nervous about… swipe to the last pic to see how they did 🙃

I’ve been begging my sister for about a year (but especially the last 6 months) to let me give Mercy a big girl haircut… swipe to see her before and after because the glow up is REAL 😍✨

My little ratters had a big weekend! 🐀

We went to our first barn hunt trial this weekend at the trial in Pine Mountain, GA. It was our first time entering a competition, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we learned so much and had a great time!

Oliver ran 3 Novice trials and qualified in 2 of them, getting 2nd place both times. Charlotte ran 2 Novice trials and one Instinct trial. She qualified in Instinct and earned her the RATI title, and also qualified in one of her Novice runs with a 3rd place finish.

I also volunteered as a scribe (helping record what happens during each run for the judge) for a lot of the weekend. It was a great learning experience because I was able to watch the higher level runs and get tips from the judge & rat wranglers.

It was a fun first trial weekend for all of us and I’m very proud of the babies 🥰

I was holding Mason’s hand while we were falling asleep a couple nights ago and felt a little mass in between his toes. He’s having surgery tomorrow to remove it, so please send all the good thoughts his way 🤍🤍

Oliver tagged along to the vet when we had it checked out and was a very good (big) little brother. Although, I think Mason would’ve preferred Charlotte’s comfort 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😅 It was a great opportunity for Oliver to get some socialization and practice being brave, without the pressure of being the patient.
