Our cool job is OT 🧠🌈🤸🏼‍♀️✨

And our cool job looks a little different every day:

• Answering emails on the drive to an assessment
• Counting + assessing inventory for future installs
• Measuring your home + creating a 2D layout to guide equipment placement
• Individually curating a 3D layout designed specifically for your home + needs
• Installing sensory equipment + tools in your space
• Attending conferences to advocate for our profession + our clients
• Collaborating, problem-solving, designing, educating… and a whole lot more

This business brings occupational therapy beyond the clinic and into the spaces where life actually happens. 🤍

A wish turned into a space made just for them 💫

We partnered with Make-A-Wish Greater LA to transform a hospital corner into an individualized sensory space designed around our client’s unique needs.

We’re so grateful to be a part of this wish brought to life🤍

Kinda chic to turn an unused room into a space that supports regulation 🧠💫

A warm welcome to McKenna, our newest SENSEational Spaces team member! We’re so happy to have her here🤍

Hi everyone! My name is McKenna, I am the newest addition to the SENSE-ational Spaces team as an Assistant Occupational Program Manager!

I completed my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals ranging from infants to older adults. My oldest patient was 102 years old!

My inspiration to become an occupational therapist began at a young age through a family friend who is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Watching her navigate everyday activities sparked my passion for helping others.

Outside of work, I am a new mom! I love spending my time with my son, husband, and our two Australian Shepherds. I enjoy getting outside for walks and hikes, exercising, shopping, and enjoying slow days with a good cup of coffee.

I am so excited to be a part of the SENSE-ational Spaces team and look forward to getting to know all of you!

Sensory support can look different for everyone and it doesn’t always mean a swing or crash pad!

✨A routine alarm clock, weighted stuffed animal, oral motor stimulation kit, LED lights, and tactile fidgets are just a few examples of the individualized tools that can help support regulation, routine, and sensory needs throughout the day.

Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌿

Nature is one of the most powerful sensory spaces we have—full of textures, sounds, movement, and calm. Our Nature-Based Sensory Summer Groups use the outdoors to support regulation, exploration, and growth in a way no indoor space can replicate.

✨ Applications are still open for one more month—don’t miss the chance to get your child outside, exploring, and thriving 🍃💧
