🎉 Celebrating 20 Years of Experience Technology 🎉

Today marks a major milestone for Experience Technology — 20 years in business.

As we begin 2026, we look back to this day 20 years ago — January 2, 2006 — when Experience Technology was founded by Eric Stiening, Stacy Stiening, and Chad Fish out of a home and garage.

Eric brought a deep background in music and physics, Chad’s unmatched skills in engineering and installation helped build the foundation of what we are today, and Stacy’s attention to detail and organization has kept the machine running smoothly ever since.

What started as a passion for technology and quality craftsmanship has grown into two decades of designing, installing, and supporting smart electronic systems for homes and businesses. Along the way, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with incredible builders, serving amazing clients, and building a team that truly takes pride in doing things the right way.

We are grateful for the trust placed in us, the relationships we’ve built, and the opportunity to do what we love every day. Our mission has always been simple: make technology easy, reliable, and enjoyable — and that commitment remains stronger than ever.

Thank you to our clients, partners, and crew for being part of this journey. Here’s to the last 20 years… and the many more ahead.

Here's a recent update from an incredible work-in-progress theater we're helping to put together. We just installed the custom leather chairs from our friends, . We also teamed up with the designers to plan and tackle a beautiful, velvety tucked-fabric wall behind the screen that doubles as acoustic treatment and an aesthetic way to hide the 2 front subs. We'll soon be adding speaker grills custom painted to match the wood paneling. High end Sony projector and receiver, Triad speakers, and a Stewart Filmscreen round out this beautiful space.

Coming to a theater near you... 🎥🍿🎟️🎬🎞️

It's been a long, heavy road to get here, but we're excited to see this beautiful theater coming together. It's not often we have a call for (nearly) all hands on deck, but this was no ordinary motorized screen. Lots of steps to get it hung from the ceiling and, of course, we had to take advantage of the situation to hold some lift races. More details to come once this beautiful space is open to the public. Shout out to our local Bloomington for their amazing help along the way. See you (soon) at the movies!

This client recently made some MAJOR upgrades to their backyard audio system. They went from high end to state of the art -- going from a pair of standard bollards to four(!!!!) massive 12.0 Line Source Bollards and two 18.0 Bollard Subwoofers(!!). We also upgraded the satellite speakers and in-ground subs on the other side of the pool to the fantastic Ambisonic system. These blend in perfectly with landscaping and look great next to the existing Coastal Source lighting. The sound is so incredible you can hardly believe your ears! Summer isn't over yet so let us know if we can help maximize your outdoor experience! ⛱️☀️👓🫠😎🔊📺⚡

The Industry Is Evolving and So Are We. 🔄

For years, technology systems in the home were treated like one-time projects:
Install it. Walk away. Hope it lasts.

But that model doesn’t work anymore.
Smart homes aren’t static—they’re living, connected ecosystems.
They grow. They update. They break. And they need support.

That’s why our industry is shifting from project-based work to service-based partnerships.

And at Experience Technology, we’re already there.

🎯 We’re focused on:

-Long-term reliability
-Proactive maintenance
-Responsive support
-And real relationships—not just one-and-done installs.

Whether we built your system 10 days ago or 10 years ago, we’re here to help you keep it running, evolving, and performing its best.
Even if we didn’t install it, we can evaluate your current setup to help you fully utilize what you already have—or make smart recommendations for updates.

We’re proud to help homeowners, builders, and designers transition into the next phase of home technology, together.
