🕯️ Well, well… look what we have here.

Three ladies with a little ‘history’…

They’ve got curves in all the right places, elegant necks, tiny waists, and just enough glass to make you wonder what kind of evenings they witnessed.

Before electricity made everything so convenient, these beauties were the ones setting the mood. A little kerosene, a little flame, and suddenly the room had a whole different kind of glow.

And don’t let their innocent appearance fool you…

One is dressed in deep turquoise blue glass, another in a gorgeous rose/amber-colored glass, and the third is a beautiful clear glass example with an Aladdin Nu-Type Model B burner — marked Made in Chicago, U.S.A.

These aren’t just old lamps.

They’re little pieces of the evenings before the light switch… when people actually had to slow down, sit a spell, and let the room glow around them.

Three different personalities. Three different sets of curves. One very good-looking/mischievous trio.

A little eye candy for those that appreciate true furniture craftsmanship!

This little table has curves that would make a supermodel blush!
From those beautifully turned legs to that gorgeous fan-patterned top, she knows exactly how to make an entrance!

And then there’s this fabulous old washstand with its original basin and pitcher—because apparently even back then, you were expected to have your bathroom accessories match.
The basin is marked John Maddock & Sons, Royal Vitreous, England, and it’s still looking pretty darn good after all these years!

Two pieces of old-fashioned charm, ready to bring a little history—and a LOT of personality—home. ❤️

A little behind-the-scenes look at what I was up to this weekend!

I spent the weekend working on some future pendants, and as usual, the stones had their own plans.

First, we have a couple of absolutely beautiful amber pieces — and I’m still fascinated every single time I put them under the UV light and watch them glow. I swear, I’ll never get tired of that! Then there’s the one where the tip broke off. Well…at that point, you have two choices: cry or get creative. So I just rolled with it and freehanded the design. Honestly, I kind of love how it turned out!

And then there was my Chrysocolla. 💔One of the pieces decided to fracture right down the middle while I was working on it. Unfortunately, that one is officially unsalvageable. RIP, beautiful stone. You were supposed to have a future.

The opal pendant already on the chain is a 2.9-carat solid opal set in 14K gold, and the little opal piece beside it is an opal doublet wrapped with gold-filled wire. Those are ready for their forever home. Before you ask me how much the 14k gold 2.9 carat opal is you might wanna hold onto your butt. 

The stones that I’ve polished but haven’t turned into pendants yet will need a few more weeks before they’re ready, but there are some really pretty ones coming! I’ve got a gorgeous rhodochrosite and a labradorite with some absolutely STUNNING purple flash that I’m especially excited about.

So basically, this weekend involved a little gold, a little opal, some glowing amber, a broken Chrysocolla, a broken piece that I decided wasn’t actually broken enough to give up on… 😂

Jewelry making: where “well, that didn’t go as planned” is apparently part of the design process. 🤷‍♀️

Attention, smelly armpits, feet and anywhere else that could use a freshen up !

Y’all have made one thing crystal clear… you LOVE the Thai Crystal Deodorant Stone. Who wouldn’t love something that doesn’t have all the chemicals, aluminum and questionable recalls?

But… some of you also confessed that using it felt like a workout.

“Dana… do I really have to rub this thing back and forth 32½ times to make sure I got everything covered?” 🤣

Well, I got tired just thinking about it.

So, because my life goal is apparently to make your mornings a little less complicated, I’ve taken the guesswork out of it…

When I was growing up, my grandmother had a remedy for just about everything. 😂

One I remember all too well was asafoetida ( also spelled Asfidity). Back then, you could even find it in our local pharmacies. It smelled awful… and somehow tasted even worse! To make it “better,” she’d mix it with a little whiskey—just like she did with many of her herbal remedies. 🥃🌿

It got me wondering…

🌿 What home remedy did your parents or grandparents swear by?

Was it castor oil? Peppermint tea? Honey and lemon? Turpentine? Vinegar? Something I’ve never even heard of?

There’s just something about finding that one special piece that makes you smile.

We’ve been adding lots of new treasures to the shop, and these are just a few of the latest arrivals. From vintage glassware and beautiful lamps to unique home décor and timeless antiques, there are so many wonderful pieces waiting for the right person to take them home.

Some have been around for decades. Some have fascinating stories. And some are just waiting to become part of someone else’s story.

I know, I know… it’s Monday. But we just finished these gorgeous hand-wrapped stone pendants, and I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to show them off!

Each one is unique and wrapped by hand in either gold fill or sterling silver wire. No two stones are exactly alike, which means once one is gone… it’s gone!

Now, can we talk about that Labradorite for a second? The camera has officially failed its assignment. That stone has an incredible deep electric blue flash that just refuses to cooperate for pictures. In person, it’ll have you tilting it back and forth like you’re trying to get the television in focus by moving those aluminum tipped rabbit ears (if you know, you know).

From soft Blue Lace Agate to mysterious Black Obsidian, pretty Pink Calcite, shimmering Kyanite, Agatized Coral, Iceland Spar Calcite, and classic Agate… they’re all beautiful in their own way. I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite if I tried!
