I wanted to take some time on here today to remind you guys of our message, as I’ve been sharing with those of you that have come in this past week (now that I’ve gone from social media to social in the store lol).
The Homestead first started as a dream and a way to build a legacy WITH our family, and by the grace of God, along with our community, it turned into something we’ve never expected, yet are so grateful for each and every day.
Since we’ve opened, we’ve met countless friends, sparked memories and nostalgia within everyone who steps foot in our door, and find ourselves offering a safe, familiar, and welcoming place for our community.
As many of you know, “Trading Post” is in our name, and that’s one of my favorite things about our little place. For those of you who know, and some who may not, we offer consignment, and we LOVEEEEE to do trades. Our reasoning behind that is, you bring us a treasured piece of your memories, or a legacy from your family, and we send you home with one of ours. Just like back in the day when I’d borrow a cup of sugar one day, and you come by for some of my eggs the next. We as a community depend on each other, and there is no greater labor of love than that.
I also wanted to highlight our Mothers Helping Mothers program for those who may not have heard of it yet, another way we can give back to those who need it in our community. You bring us your baby’s well loved items, and we send you home with their next milestone, size, or interests, to make new memories with.
Having a community is so crucial and we are SO blessed to have the space we do to be a part of this one.
