Holiday Tip: When you book your lighting professionals this year, make sure they’re actually professional. Don’t just pick the cheapest option or the person who mows your lawn—be sure they’re fully insured and qualified to install electrical lines on your home.

This photo is from a house we helped last year after another so-called “professional installer” failed to measure the wattage on the outlet. Their mistake nearly caused a fire—and then they refused to fix their work. Unfortunately we see a lot of unsafe installations like this
