Seashells, rattan, brass, bamboo, and Bunny Mellon. Honestly, what more do you need? 🐚✨

Colorado might be my primary home, but my heart is always anchored to the South Carolina coast. While a full-on coastal theme might feel out of place in the mountains, I love bringing pieces of my travels back with me.

Decorating with seashells in a non-coastal home works beautifully when done intentionally. When they have a story behind them, they stop being “beach decor” and start adding genuine character to a collected, layered home.

My son is interning with Senator Michael Bennet in Washington DC this summer!! I couldn’t be more proud of him. This generation has an awful lot of work to do. Working in Washington is his dream ❤️

FDR memorial. Every memorial and museum has a powerful message in DC. There’s nothing to interpret. It’s all just there for us.

Got my official Library of Congress card! It’s been many years since I’ve been to D.C. and didn’t remember how gorgeous this building is. My neck hurts from looking up at the ceiling.

I’m in D.C. for a very good reason. My son is interning with the U.S. Senate this summer!! ❤️
