I haven’t shared this, but soon after we moved in I had a whole different direction for this room (swipe to see 🐻‍❄️) - but it was falling flat: the furniture kept arriving damaged or with defects, the room still overwhelmed the furniture and I just was not excited about it. Finally I just sent it all back and started over with another empty room. But now, I’m so so glad I went a completely different direction! The back to back sofas I scored from Marketplace were the jumping off point for the new design and it immediately felt right in the room.

Sometimes plan B is better anyway 💁🏻‍♀️

Our half bath is the perfect case of a few small changes = one big moment. We kept the wallpaper and tile, painted the trim and ceiling to match (Benjamin Moore Ruby Dusk), Ty moved the brass wall sconce to landing so you can see it from the front door ✨ we swapped for brass wherever we could and I made a sink skirt. More photos and all of the details and links are on the blog!

This week in my camera roll: finding inspiration in nature and color. Also trying to survive the first week of summer with all the kids home. So glad I have them here but man it’s an adjustment every time 😅
