Hiya everyone, amazing it has been a year since we closed the store, but life does go on. The twins are wa l.j king and talking and still brimming with super energy. Well, we will be open until October 23rd, then we will lock the doors, pack up and move on to the next chapter. I had hoped I would find someone to carry on Boerne Coins and Collectibles, but like any doting parent, I just could not see anyone else giving the time and care into the shop. Yes, Its a mess, yes, there is so much stuff everywhere--but in 6 years, our goal has been pay well, sell for less, make sure every customer feels like they have a safe and honest place to do business--and always leave with a smile. Re will spend a year with our daughter, spend some time with the twins, and after a year, its off to the Philippines to retire and spend our days looking at beautiful turquoise waters , refreshing lagoons, amazing waterfalls, and abundant opportunities to swim with whale sharks and all the fishes. Thank you to everyone who made Boerne Coins fun, You also made me smile.

I have worked alongside some truly mean people. People who were dead set on going after whatever they wanted, even when it meant walking over others. I couldn't wait to leave that environment. Opening Boerne Coins and Collectibles allowed me to be my own boss, and keep my circle tighter. What I discovered was, the people who have come into the shop have been a blessing to me--they allowed me to be me, even when the me I am is blunt, forthright, not always the bearer of good news. Boerne Coins is going to close up shop in late October. We are moving to be with our daughter, share some time as a family. I will miss the shop, I love this shop--messy and all. But I will miss my customers more, some who have become friends--not work friends--but people who do favors, help me when I need help, hold the boys, and people who I would do favors for as well. Thank you to all who have come to Boerne Coins, a small town shop trying to stay a small town shop. with an eye on helping, without making a killing.
