This piece has a story.
This vintage industrial work table began its life as commercial food-service equipment, built by the Asheville Stove Company for use in a working kitchen. Designed to withstand heat, moisture, and constant use, it features a thick original butcher-block top, galvanized steel base, lower shelf, and center drawer. This was not decorative furniture. It was built to work.
Over decades of use, the wood shows honest wear from prep and chopping, while the galvanized steel developed a natural patina from steam, spills, and time. Rather than being over-restored, this table has been preserved so its history remains visible. Every mark is earned.
At some point, it left the kitchen and was saved from being discarded, recognized for what it is—a beautifully utilitarian piece of industrial craftsmanship. Today it works just as well as a kitchen island, bar, studio table, or statement piece in a modern space.
One of a kind. Solid. Authentic.
