If you’re planning a wedding, I would love for Root Bound to be part of your day. We already have bookings as far out as November 2027, so please reach out to get your date secured!
For anyone who’s new here, I want to share a little about the person behind the flowers and how this business came to be.
Root Bound started during my recovery. I was about six months sober, still in treatment, and trying to figure out what rebuilding my life could look like. A week before Valentine’s Day, I made a bouquet and shared it. Within 24 hours, I had 18 orders.
I had no idea that bouquet would lead to this. I eventually left my corporate job, started Root Bound out of my garage in January 2023, and began building a business around something that gave me joy, purpose, and a reason to believe in myself again.
Today, I’m over four years sober. I’m proud of that. I’m also proud of every wedding, every arrangement, and every relationship this little business has helped me build. There’s a lot of work behind the pretty pictures, and there’s a whole lot of heart behind them, too.
This year has been incredibly hard. Caring for my family, losing my mom, and trying to help my dad find his footing after that loss have taken a lot out of me. Add in Teddy’s (dads dog) emergency vet care, a fallen tree, and the expenses that seem to arrive at the worst possible times… it’s been a lot. Emotionally and financially.
I’ve had days when I’ve wondered how I’m going to keep everything moving. Grief doesn’t pause because you have orders to finish or a business to run.
But I still love this work. I still get excited when a couple tells me their colors, sends me their inspiration, or asks, “Do you think we could do something like this?” I love taking those ideas and making something beautiful that feels like them. And being trusted with such an important day means so much to me.
Wedding flowers are a huge part of what keeps Root Bound growing, and I’m actively taking bookings.
From bridal bouquets and wedding party flowers to ceremony installations, centerpieces, bud vases, and full wedding florals, I would love to help bring your day together. Whether you want something intimate and simple or a room full of flowers, let’s talk about what you’re dreaming of and what you’re comfortable spending.
Affordability has mattered to me from the beginning. I know how hard people work for their money, and I know wedding costs add up quickly. I want you to feel comfortable having an honest conversation about your budget so we can figure out where your flowers will make the biggest impact.
I put my time, creativity, and care into every wedding I book. I generally take one wedding per weekend, which means getting your date on the calendar early matters. Having bookings through November 2027 doesn’t mean every date before then is taken—please reach out and ask about yours!
If you’ve been thinking about contacting me, this is your invitation. You don’t need every detail figured out. Send me your date, your venue if you have one, and a little about what you have in mind. We can start there. A 30% nonrefundable deposit secures your date.
And if you aren’t planning a wedding, sharing this post or tagging someone who is would mean so much. So many of my customers have found me because someone took a moment to say, “You should talk to Luke at Root Bound.”
Thank you to everyone who has trusted me, recommended me, and supported this business through the beautiful moments and the really difficult ones. You’ve helped me build something I care deeply about, and I want to keep creating for this community for years to come.
Let’s get your wedding date secured and start dreaming up your flowers.
