My now husband and I were in the VERY early stages of “dating” and was texting me whole time I was working. I’ve been quiet for some time on here. I usually am, I think that is just my nature. I tend to feel scared and overwhelmed by these type of conditions in the world. I have learned so much over the last couple of days. It’s been extremely eye opening and sad to say the least. To me that is privilege, to be able to stay quiet. To not have to fight and be loud to be heard. To my beautiful black brothers and sisters. I am with you, I am starting to understand. To live in a world where you don’t feel safe is something that I won’t ever feel. But I will continue to learn, grow and teach. Teach my children that is so important to love and accept to love those of color. I stand with you today and forever.
