Meet the newest saved and changed flip. I will call it “perseverance”.
This antique Lane Cedar Chest was abandoned in a house that was squatted in. They destroyed the home and almost this chest.
I rescued it from the landfill and honestly didn’t have much hope for it. It stank like bad. A mix of ci******es and nasty 🤮 old house.
Layers of smell, paint, and yuck took hours to sand. I worked and worked to keep the dried out veneer from getting damaged.
Finally after all the years were peeled back I applied Restor A Finish and Howard’s Feed N Wax to the veneer parts that could be saved. I then painted the outer trim with Wise Owl White Linen Chalk Paint.
Tada 🎉

After a little paint and tan wash this dresser will look very nice with this funky rug. Whoop whoop 🙌
