Happy Birthday to the guy who made it all happen here at Fiber Specialties! 🥳🎉🎊

You may have gotten to speak with him on the phone or have the opportunity to converse with him in person about your rug, and if you did he probably spent a lot of time with you … educating and helping you see the potential of your rug 😊

He truly pours so much passion into what he does and loves doing so!

While he has lots of help here, we are so grateful for him and (as his daughter writing this) want to just show some gratitude for all he has done!

(2/2) Another full restoration on a vintage rug!! 🚨🤩✨🧼

Check out this before and after cleaning and repair!🧶🪡

This circa 1920’s Chinese Nichols was in need of some TLC, and we’re lucky that its owner was happy to do a full side cord and fringe repair as well as a cleaning.

Upon incoming, this rug was severely unraveling in the fringe. The knots were unstable and at a point where the rug was comepletley unsecured on all 4 sides.

We went in with a poly upholstery thread and secured the fringe ends and corners, while reducing the rug to an even end on both sides. Trimming up fringe to be cohesive afterwards.

As this orange is pretty unique, we had to custom order this side cord yarn. It really paid off! We got a great match wrapped over a new cotton side cord!

Thank you for giving this rug the love it deserves! Now back off to its loving home 🥹🩷

We love collaborating with local businesses in Boise! The Modern Modern Hotel and Bar is one of those downtown staples that we frequent for a cocktail, tapas and even the occasional staycation!

Happy to share some rugs with them and their patrons to enjoy for a while! ✨🥗🍸🍴

Treefort 2026! But make it Rugfort 😉

Our team fabricated these eyeball rugs for the festivals “lookout lounge” as well installed some fun rugs that were donated to us for their “vip lounge” 🎤🎸🎷🥁

We love being a part of this great music festival for the past two years! If you’ve ever donated a rug or a pad, thank you from the Fiber Specialties Team as they often times go towards events and spaces like this that bring our community together. 🤹‍♀️

A fun rug resizing! After cutting down the rug, we preserved the old border of the rug and put
it through our machine to reintegrate it back into the rug once it was resized!

Whenever a rug is resized, we provide a service to refinish the freshly cut sides. This is entirely unique to a rug.

These options include
Machine Serging ✅
Side cord hand wrapping ✅
Cotton tape Binding ✅
Poly tape Binding ✅
Or a unique border like this one!
