I frequently take the quilting mentality into many other avenues of life. I could have just spent less than $5 on pasta at the store and also saved myself a few hours of meal prepping time today. But would store pasta be worthy of fresh, from scratch, Bolognese sauce? Definitely not. So, I spent the extra hours making pretty spinach, garlic, and rosemary pasta.

I had to overcome my passenger princess status and become the driver. But I found the mountains, lizards, hikes, zoo, rivers with crawdads, and some of the best hugs from people I've missed tremendously. But I'm so dang excited to stitch again this week. If you've never been through the Pacific Northwest, it's absolutely breathtaking. But my favorite part is being back home. 🩷

The nurse in me can't allow puberty to solely be covered in school. Normalize bodies and development. So it was necessary to have a pizza party, friends, and discuss how bodies develop. Get the giggles out, learn, and be well informed. Was I the most nervous of everyone in the room? Absolutely. Did everyone have fun? Definitely. And most of all, they loved the bags I made. And I highly recommend that top book!

When your kids have THE best teachers, it's so fun to create a unique "Thank You for all you do" gift. And while no gift is sufficient for the tremendous work that goes into public school, hand created gifts are clearly part of my love language. Thanks to .quilting.co and , I used Kaycee 's block, and Christina's amazing tutorial to turn any 12" block into a tote. Idaho quilt ladies coming in clutch for this project ❤️🎀
