Behind this sign sits century-old homes that have watched the city grow, change and reinvent itself. And for nearly half a century, they've been home to The Veranda, a place where first dates became anniversaries, celebrations became traditions, and generations have returned to the same familiar ambiance.
Some restaurants serve a city. A rare few become part of its story. Fort Myers has changed quite a bit since 1978. Through it all, tucked beneath the palms on Second Street, The Veranda has simply kept being The Veranda.
Nearly half a century of dinners. More than a century of history. And still one of Fort Myers' most timeless addresses.
