As we begin taking new orders, we have made some changes to our pricing structure I wanted to share here. (If you have already received a quote from me it will not change, this only affects new orders)

Custom Paint Finish (All Shields) - $150 Includes Clear Coat Protective Covering

Shield purchases without the painted finished option will be painted brown on the inside, and white on the outside.

Expect Shipping to Cost Roughly $100 Due to Size of Product. Local Pickup or Event Pickup Can Be Arranged for No Cost.

We often get asked about our shield making process! While we can't divulge ALL of our shield making secrets, we wanted to show our followers the general construction methods used!

Based on surviving examples of kite shields and heater shields from the medieval period, this method involves gluing planks of wood together, side by side and then riveting metal bands across them lengthwise. Thus giving them extra strength and support.

While we do use other methods by request, or for different shield variants... we find that this technique makes for strong and long lasting shields to serve our customers through all their battles and adventures!
