It's been a long time coming. This crazy plant lady just made one of the biggest investments in her business yet.
I've been waiting for this greenhouse and to finally have it set up means go time, baby!
My plants and I have been through quite a lot in the last year or so. There was a time I thought I could do it all, so I put my life here on hold to study in an offgrid medicine garden, somehow believing that I could run a business at the same time.
I knew I couldn't run High Country Houseplants for much longer in the same way, so I took a much needed hiatus and have learned so much since then.
The inner conflict that came from monetizing something that was supposed to be for my mental health became very complex.
Being too far away from town made it hard to secure a more hospitable day job for my needs.
For a long time, I was stuck. But not anymore. So many things in my life died back, but the new growths are absolutely amazing.
A chronic health condition hasn't make any of this any easier. It's kinda hard to do normal people things when you're constantly and perceptively under attack by an organism that originates from within your own body.
Plants give so much meaning and healing, so I decided I have to keep going with this!
My new space will accommodate so many more plants, additional greenhouse space, and even has outdoor gardens!
High Country Houseplants is making its return this summer, and it's about to be better than ever.
Get ready y'all. Cause all this foliage is about to be thick AF!
