Happy St. Patrick’s Day! As Boston celebrates today with its traditional festive parade in Southie, and then again in the Irish pubs on 3/17, we bring you some of the roots of Celtic traditions as seen in The Book of Kells manuscript. Created by Celtic monks around the year 800, The Book of Kells illuminated manuscript is one of the great treasures of Irish art—renowned for its hand-painted lettering and intricate knotwork decoration.
This 20th century edition retains its original slipcase, on the shelves at Fabled Antiques.
