When savoring the long daylight hours of summer, it is often the little details that bring the most enjoyment. From lightweight sunscreen and lip balm to the right hat, sunglasses, towel, and an easy way to carry it all from the beach to around town, thoughtful details make all the difference. Just as life reflects art, care and consideration shape both our work and our everyday moments at Planeta Design Group.

Summer is short, so I am safely soaking up the sun with a few of my favorite essentials. Enjoy, Patrick

The Fenway neighborhood is – rightfully and proudly – known for the Red Sox and the hovering Citgo sign. For Backstage at The Verb, we leaned into the area’s musical roots when designing the luxury trailers. Taking a tune from celebrated and well-known artists, each trailer has its own theme, ranging from Stevie Nicks, Van Halen, Tom Petty, Dolly Parton, Janis Joplin and more.

Situated conveniently near music, shopping, restaurants, sports, and more, these trailers are actually tucked away, offering a moment of rest for entertainment-seeking music lovers! Getting a row of large and heavy trailers placed right next to an iconic stadium behind The Verb hotel was no simple task: Next month we will share how they came together.

Shine, sparkle, glow, patina, ridges, grooves, weaves, colors, contrasts, cohesion. Reflections: Still absorbing all we saw and did while on a whirlwind trip to New York, with stops that included ICFF TEFAF and various showrooms. Good security isn't visible, but its presence is felt. The invisible design detail, it’s invaluable. For our principal Patrick Planeta, security is always present. That’s why Planeta Design Group and TSP Smart Spaces co-hosted the forum “Inside the Room: What Ultra-High-Net-Worth Security Really Looks Like.”

“Our goal wasn’t to make people feel afraid—it was to make them feel informed,” Patrick explains.

In gardening, if the Earth is the figure and the plants are the clothes, then the beautiful details that surround us are what bring together the ensemble.

Accessories such as unexpected animals, unique seating, or tactile surfaces provide unusual and extraordinary bits of joy.

Take a moment to savor some of my favorite details that bring sense to a garden, and elevate it, leaving us better than when we entered. —Patrick

Although Frieze New York has wrapped, I’m still sitting with what I got to discover last week at The Shed, a beautiful venue that allows the artwork and its creators space to shine. I’m both inspired and moved by the social awareness that many artists were showcasing, using a variety of canvases as their platforms, all while making the world a more beautiful place. – Patrick

The beautiful, historic Tedesco Country Club is hosting a Mass Golf event this week, and has a special place in our heart. The original clubhouse was demolished, and this postcard served as inspiration for the new building that Planeta brought to life.

While on site, wander around the clubhouse and see how Planeta Design Group honored the rich history of the club dating to 1903, while providing modern experiences and amenities.
