Hi! 👋🏼 It’s been a little while. I’ve been so busy juggling all of our projects behind the scenes, but I wanted to pop in, say hi, and share a little of what we’ve been up to lately.

I’m Desiree, the founder and principal designer behind Desiree Burns Interiors, a full-service interior design studio creating homes that feel elevated yet comfortable, thoughtfully layered, and deeply personal to the people who live in them.

I started DBI in 2015 with a love for the way interiors can completely change how we experience everyday life. Since then, the studio has grown to take on projects throughout New England and beyond - from full-scale renovations and new construction to complete furnishing projects and everything that brings a home together in between.

Our approach to design is rooted in refined simplicity balanced with warmth: sculptural forms, organic materials, natural textures, a little whimsy, and spaces that feel collected rather than overly designed. Beautiful, yes - but always livable.

Behind the scenes, I’m involved in every project and detail. I love the creative part, of course, but just as much, I love getting to know our clients and creating homes that genuinely reflect the way they want to live.
