I hope you are doing well and enjoy this beautiful blooming season. I would like to say that my solo show "Moments of Life" is now open and on view at the True Grit Art Gallery, . Thank you very much to everyone who came out for the opening reception last Saturday, May 9th. Despite the rainy weather the gallery was filled with warm energy, wonderful people, and great conversations. Those, who wanted to come to the opening but did not make it, you were greatly missed. I warmly invite you to come experience the show in person while it's still up through May 30th.

I hope you fared the latest snowstorm well. After digging out for several days here I am with some art news. I am pleased to share with you that my recent work "A Night in Copenhagen" (oil on board, 14"x12" framed size), created after Danish painter, Paul Gustav Fischer (1860 –1934), for the Spring Bull Gallery's 35th Fakes and Forgeries exhibition, has been recognized with Honorable Mention award by Michael Rose, a multi-talented cultural professional and the gallery manager of the Providence Art Club. Special thank you for the wonderful words about my work goes to Michael Rose: "Tatiana’s nocturne is beautifully painted and does great service to its inspiration. It is mysterious, atmospheric, and makes me want to experience the streets of Copenhagen on a misty evening." Thank you NEWPORT THIS WEEK for featuring my work in the article "This Ain’t Fake News" By John Pantalone.

I've been entering my work in the SBG "Fakes and Forgeries" highly anticipated annual exhibition since 2016 and this is my 11th year of participating. I am glad that after a decade my work has been recognized and received an award. In previous years I entered paintings created after many great artists: Petrus Christus (FnF 2017), Dante Gabriel Rossetti (FnF 2019), George Inness (FnF 2021 & FnF 2022), Jean-François Millet (FnF 2023), Maxfield Parrish (FnF 2024), Carl Theodor Reiffenstein (FnF 2025). I can tell that all these artists as well as many more others influenced my own vision and taste in art.

The 35th Fakes and Forgeries exhibition is on display and is running until March 1st, 2026 at the Spring Bull Gallery, located at 55 Bellevue Avenue in Newport, RI. Winter Gallery Hours: Open Daily from Noon to 4 pm, closed Tuesday.

I'm glad to share that my pastel painting "Moonlit Meadow" has won BEST NOCTURNE in the April PleinAir Salon Art Competition 2023 from PleinAir Magazine. Huge thank you goes to Catherine Saks, owner of SAKS GALLERY, for this honor. Congratulations to all the award winners! There were 867 paintings entered into the April Competition by 353 artists from 23 countries. There will be a showcase of the April Winners in the Aug/Sept 2023 issue of PleinAir Magazine.
Currently this painting is a part of PPSCC "For Pastels Only 2023" National Exhibition that is currently on display at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, located at 307 Old Main Street, South Yarmouth, MA.
Exhibit Dates: June 27th - July 22nd, 2023
Reception & Award presentation: July 8th, 6 - 8pm

We are now counting hours until the New Year and I can tell it’s always nice to look back over the year at its closing. I made this collage out of the paintings (some of my favorites) that have found their new home in 2023. I wouldn’t be able to continue to do what I love without your appreciation, love and support. So every year I find myself grateful for all of you who make my artful journey possible. I wish you all a very Happy, Healthy, Joyful New Year, full of positive and inspiring things.
