New Project Reveal | Seaside Sanctuary featured in Modern Luxury Interior Magazine!

“When designer Trevor Fulmer first met the design-savvy, well-traveled homeowners of this seaside Narragansett summer home, they immediately connected over style. “They told me, they didn’t want anything too funky, but it also couldn’t be boring,” says Fulmer. Ho-hum, Fulmer is most definitely not, and once he established the client’s trust, he created an updated, cohesive plan, inspired by one of the homeowner’s Southern California upbringing, that pushed the envelope just enough. Working within the requested neutral and monochromatic palette, Fulmer couldn’t lean on pops of color to bring the drama. Instead, he introduced textures and patterns through heavily veined stones, cerused woods, braided metals and pebbled textiles to add variation and depth. He also used every opportunity to bring the ocean’s natural cinema in.”

This oceanside residence in coastal Rhode Island blends relaxed Southern California ease with classic New England charm. A full renovation removed interior walls and introduced expansive sliding doors that open to the patio, creating an indoor outdoor living experience. The outdoor area features a tiered swimming pool, a spacious lounge and sweeping ocean views. The modern kitchen includes a two tiered island, woven metal inserts, slab stone backsplash, contemporary lighting and a pass-through window that connects to the outdoor kitchen. The primary bathroom offers unobstructed ocean views from the shower and bathtub, along with a dual vanity and stone wrapped walls that reinforce a sense of luxury. Throughout the home, a cream and neutral materials palette brings comfort and personality.

Install days are where everything finally comes together. Months, and sometimes years, of planning, sourcing, revisions, coordination, and construction all lead to this moment.

Our team is on site managing every detail. Furniture is delivered and placed. Lighting is installed and focused. Artwork is positioned. Accessories are layered in. Every piece is adjusted, reviewed, and refined in real time.

The days are long and exhausting, but also incredibly rewarding. Watching a home shift from construction site to fully realized interior never gets old.

Flooded with light.

Floor to ceiling windows transform a city condo during the day. Natural light floods the space and every surface reads clearly.

At night, those same windows turn into black glass. The room loses depth, reflections take over, and the layout can feel disconnected from itself.

This is where the lighting plan matters.

In this condo, we layered lighting for function, added low level sources for evening use, and positioned fixtures to highlight key surfaces and sightlines. The goal was not more light. It was the right light, placed exactly where it is needed once the view disappears.

Lighting design is not an afterthought in city living. It is what makes the space work after sunset.

Set the table.

Small scale styling is redefining how a dining table works within a space. It is no longer about a single oversized centerpiece. It is about composition and placement.

Here the table is layered with low, tactile objects that sit comfortably within the sightline. Hand crafted bowls, a narrow wood tray, and a simple ceramic vessel create a sequence across the surface. Nothing blocks conversation.

Material contrast does the work. Matte black wood, warm oak, and glazed ceramics introduce variation without adding visual noise. The repetition of tone keeps the look controlled, while the mix of shapes adds movement.

This approach also allows the table to shift throughout the day. It functions for dining, but it also reads as a styled surface when not in use. The pieces can be moved, edited, or cleared entirely in seconds.

If your dining table feels unfinished, do not default to scale. Start with a few smaller objects and think about how they relate to each other. The result feels more considered and far more adaptable.

Blog 14 — What to Know Before You Build or Renovate a Coastal Home.

Designing a coastal home is about how it lives. Light shifts throughout the day.
Doors stay open. Surfaces are used constantly. Materials are exposed to air, moisture, and movement. Every decision needs to support that environment while still delivering a strong point of view.

A coastal home is shaped by more than its location. It determines how a space feels, how people move through it, and how daily life unfolds from morning to evening. Light, materials, and layout all play a role, influencing comfort, durability, and how the home connects to its surroundings.

Planning a coastal home requires clarity. Understanding how layout, materials, and performance work together helps narrow decisions and makes the process simplified. Whether you are renovating an existing property or building new, approaching each choice with a clear framework allows you to move forward with confidence and create a home that feels complete from the start.
