• 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
• Fresh raspberries (for garnish)
• Chocolate shavings (for garnish)
• Powdered sugar (for garnish)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans, lining bottoms with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. In another bowl, whisk buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix into dry ingredients until just combined.

• 2 tbsp honey
• 1 tsp dried culinary lavender buds
• 1 tbsp water
• Fresh lavender sprigs
• Edible flowers
• Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Directions

1. In a bowl, whisk flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.

2. Add ice water gradually until dough holds together. Shape into a disc, wrap, and chill 30 minutes.

Ingredients:

1 large sweet onion

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

1 egg

3/4 cup breadcrumbs

Oil, for frying

Directions:

Slice the onion into thick rings and separate each layer.

In a shallow bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg. Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

Ingredients:

1 can (28 oz) whole tomatoes with juice

2 cans (10 oz each) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies

1/4 cup chopped onion

1 garlic clove, minced

1 jalapeño, quartered and thinly sliced

1/4 teaspoon sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 cup chopped cilantro (or more, to taste)

Juice of 1/2 lime

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine the whole tomatoes with their juice and the Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies.

Add the onion, garlic, and jalapeño. Stir to combine.

Sprinkle in sugar, salt, and cumin. Mix until well blended.

Fold in cilantro and squeeze in lime juice. Mix gently.

Taste and adjust seasoning with extra lime, cilantro, or salt if desired.

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional: pinch of Old Bay seasoning or cayenne pepper

For the sauce:

3 tbsp unsalted butter

3 tbsp all-purpose flour

2 cups whole milk or half-and-half

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

For the pasta and topping:

8–10 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente

¾ cup shredded mozzarella or Italian blend cheese

½ cup panko breadcrumbs

1 tbsp butter, melted

Fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions:

Cook the noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the lasagna noodles until al dente. Drain and lay flat on parchment paper or a greased surface to cool.
