Feather & Thistle Home The name Feather & Thistle is a nod to my parents. My mother was Native American and my father was Scotch-Irish.

Thanks to my mother, who was a designer, I have a knack for finding fabulous vintage or pre-loved home decor like coffee table books, original pottery and artwork by named artists, antique and vintage chairs and my favorite, chinoiserie. I run my business in the United States, just outside of Washington, DC.

I just HAD to share! What are the odds of seeing something in a video from France that you would LOVE to have and FINDING it the VERY SAME DAY in Manassas, VA of all places? Pretty much ZERO. But it happened to me!

Have you ever made it onto Antiques Roadshow? I bought this incredible piece of Charles Loloma pottery at (Heritage Interiors) and ended up getting selected to go onto Antiques Roadshow with it. Odds of getting on the show are incredibly slim. According to Grunge Magazine: “Take, for instance, a show that occurred in Santa Clara, California, in 2014. Out of the 22,367 applicants (tickets are free and can be found on the show’s website), less than 50, or 0.2%, would eventually make it on the show. Usually, 3,000 to 4,000 are randomly selected and given tickets to bring in two items for appraisal, but only around 80 will be selected to make airtime.”

He’s so cute I keep him out even when it’s not Easter!Lovely bronze Edwardian bunny. Found at the fabulous . When I found him, he didn’t have his little baskets. After doing research I learned he was supposed to be carrying these exact baskets. I scoured eBay and Ruby Lane and slowly but surely, found them all!
