Walking through the markets in Marrakech and Fes, Morocco, and seeing the craftsmanship, texture, and history in these rugs was incredibly inspiring.

Lighting can completely transform how a paint color looks, even when it’s the same exact shade. In this space, we used Harwood Putty by Benjamin Moore, and you can see how it shifts depending on the type of lighting.

Tandem Tip: Always test your paint in multiple spots around the room; near windows, in corners, and under the lighting you’ll use at night. Large samples are your best friend here. A little testing now saves a lot of regret later.

Light temperature can change the entire mood of a room, even when the fixtures stay the same. Warm, neutral, or cool… each one plays a different role in how your space feels and functions.

• Warm light (2700–3000K) → cozy and calming: perfect for bedrooms and living rooms
• Neutral light (3500–4000K) → balanced and natural: great for kitchens and dining areas
• Cool light (4000K+) → bright and energizing: ideal for offices, laundry rooms, vanities, or anywhere true color is important

Choosing the right temperature makes your home feel intentional, layered, and comfortable at any time of day.

Big milestone for the Tandem family — Lisa just dropped her daughter off at college! She packed more than just the essentials… she brought her creativity too. Her own artwork is now hanging on her dorm walls, printed as posters to make the space feel uniquely hers. Design clearly runs in the family, and we couldn’t be prouder to see her starting this new chapter surrounded by pieces that inspire her.
