Pure Bliss: Iliff Street Transformation
This home’s primary bath hadn’t changed since 1968. It was small, dark, and purely utilitarian: brown carpet, original wallpaper, and almost no storage. It served its purpose, but it didn’t bring any sense of comfort or ease to daily life.
The homeowners dreamed of a true retreat, a space where mornings could start peacefully and evenings could end with a sense of calm. To make that possible, I reimagined the entire upstairs. By giving up an extra bedroom, I created a comfortable primary suite with a walk-in closet and laundry, and reconfigured the bath to include a freestanding tub, double vanity, and walk-in shower.
Every inch of this new bath is designed to support the way the family lives now. A quartz waterfall edge and curbless shower bring a sense of clean continuity. A soft mix of ceramic wall tile and aloe green mosaic floor adds quiet texture and serenity. Even the small ledge and built-in niche serve a purpose: adding storage and a moment for personal touches.
Today, this space is filled with light and function. It has become the peaceful escape the original home never imagined, and seeing my clients fall in love with their transformed space is the most rewarding part of what I do.
