Howard’s Budget Furniture and Mattress originally began as a family owned flooring store in Bowling Green. As business continued, the Robinson family made the decision to expand the business by adding furniture to the store. Eventually they decided to drop the flooring portion of the busi

ness and just continue selling furniture. In 2004, the 3rd generation of the Wright family, owners of Wright Furniture Flooring and Mattress, purchased Robinson’s furniture and made it part of the Wright family of stores. In dedication to the founder of Wright Furniture, Howard Wright, Robinson’s Furniture store was renamed Howard's. It, too, shared the common thread of "treat the customer right"...and of offering the best value and quality available to their rural customers. Here's something most people don't think about until it's too late: barstool height actually has a formula. 🪑

For a comfortable seat, you want about 9 to 13 inches between the top of your stool and the underside of your counter or island. Counter height surfaces (36") need a counter stool. Bar height surfaces (42") need a bar stool. They're not interchangeable!

Save this before you shop so you don't end up with stools that don't fit. 📐
