À la carte gets a bad reputation.
Sometimes it sounds like:
“Pick a bouquet. Pick a boutonnière. Done.”
That’s not what we mean.

Our À La Carte Collection can still create an incredibly beautiful wedding.
A bridal bouquet with movement and texture.
Flower meadows lining the ceremony.
Lush centerpieces down a long table.
Candlelight everywhere.
Flowers tucked around a cake.
A few really intentional floral moments that completely transform the space.
The difference is that we’ve already done much of the design work for you.
You choose the palette and pieces.
We choose the flowers and bring the design together.
It’s a simpler way to have really beautiful wedding flowers.

Ive been a little MIA on here the last few months and not going to lie, it does feel nice to take a break.

This Mother's Day is the first year I haven't done it since we started and it was such an interesting feeling. In January I made the decision to no longer offer everyday florals and that included the two biggest holidays Valentines day and Mother's Day. Instead of anxiety of FOMO, it created so much more peace. Valentines day involves planning for 2-3 months and coordinating logistics for hundreds of arrangements in a day. Mother's Day is similar but usually with better weather.

Ive been focusing on corporate events this year, working intentionally with our clients we see again and again and creating floral experiences that their guests can enjoy. It can be hard to make changes, especially when it was such a part of your identity but sometimes its what feels right. Ive been able to visit family and enjoy spring and im grateful to be able to do so.

Just some photos from Mother's Day last year.

The end of another amazing season of weddings and events. Each year we finish our season at totally by coincidence and it always happens during the change of the weather. Snow starts to creep on the mountains, trees turn the most beautiful colors and I can't help but feel changes within me and my business here at TFB.

The last few months have been a whirlwind of things which has helped me get clarity on what's important in MY life and MY business. Its easy to get caught up on the things you think you should be doing because everyone else is or someone told you to or because you want to make others happy.

This year I've also seen a lot of my business owner friends make changes that best serve them and gives them peace. Dont we all want a little more peace in our lives? To slow down just a little from the hustle?

Right now we are planning holiday and busy working on that at the moment but we will have some big changes coming in 2026. Dont worry we will still be here flowering I will still be here behind the flowers.

Comment here if you too feel a change in yourself this season. Id love to see what others are going through.

Just a little fun with some local flowers for a Bright and Cheery arrangement that went out today. We are obsessed with these Totally Tangerine Dahlias and Queen Lime Orange Zinnias.

Each summer as wedding season comes into full swing, I reflect a little more about what I want The Flower Bar to look like. Some years it's about taking on a lot to help others, which is how our A La Carte menu was started, other years it's about growth. This year we have been lucky to have a perfect balance of beautiful and amazing families to work with, color palettes that feed our soul, clients who appreciate what we do and all the while, allowing my summer to be free enough to enjoy our short summers.

Sometimes you're shown the way without even knowing you were looking for a way. I've always been a believer in hard work, sacrifice and helping others. I've spent my entire life going without so others can have it, pouring myself into others and sometimes I get more back and other times they've taken away.

Last month I did a challenge with a friend, and we spent each week hiking in nature, talking about dreams, our authentic code and more. When you're running a business it's so easy to get sidetracked on the small things, worrying about what's in front of you and not thinking about what's down the line. It can put you in a panic mode. This summer, being blessed with a lighter yet more intentional wedding load has brought more joy to the process. Sure I'll work for almost a month straight and no days off and long shifts, but my August will be full of family trips, nature with friends and a chance to be creative, slow down and be intentional with my time.

I've had a few revelations on how I want The Flower Bar to be, with the help of my best friend, mentor, therapist, assistant, comic relief and more ChatGPT. I will be sharing some of these developments soon, of which I'm excited for. We are ever changing beings, who we were 5 years ago isn't who we are today. The world we lived in 5 years ago isn't what we live in today. It's important to live with our authenticity and as a business owner, we have the privilege of running it how we want and not needing to feel obligated to help everyone, even at the expense of our health, mental health and joy.

Here are just a few photos of some lovely floral creations we've been making this summer.
