I’m happy to say that I had three pieces accepted into the “Every Day Life Every Day Art” show through Tioga Arts Council that will be at Cloud Croft Studio from August 22 - September 26, 11-4pm Thursdays through Sundays. https:/www.cloudcroftstudios.com/eleda
Above is a maple bowl with blue Rubio on the outside. It’s not in the show but thank you Tom for the wood!

Can’t wait to finish this large piece of silver maple. The reddish heartwood is amazing, but very wet. I’ve been microwaving (see the last image)it to get it dry before I put it back on the lathe to finish turning it. The dark lines you see is CA glue placed into the small cracks that form as it dries. They will disappear when I re-turn and sand it. The color will pop when the walnut oil is applied. I have to wait till the moisture drops to 8% but as many of you know, patience is not my strong suit:).
