Are you the kind of person who gets pure joy from organizing chaos, double-checking the details, and keeping everything moving smoothly behind the scenes? Our busy interior design firm is looking for a Warehouse Clerk who thrives on structure, accuracy, and efficiency. This role is the backbone of our design operations—making sure every item arrives, gets checked, prepped, and delivered perfectly for our install days.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Receiving & Quality Control: Inspect all incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage; handle returns when items don’t make the cut.

Organization Mastery: Keep the warehouse neat, efficient, and easy to navigate—Marie Kondo would be proud.

Prep for Install Days: Stage, organize, and pack items for seamless client installations.

Shipping & Returns: Coordinate outgoing shipments, process returns, and track logistics.

Data & Reporting: Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets to track inventory, orders, and deliveries.

Heavy Lifting: Move and organize furniture and décor (sometimes bulky/heavy pieces).

Communication: Work closely with designers and staff to ensure orders are accurate, timelines are met, and vendors are in the loop.

Emails & Coordination: Send professional communications to staff, vendors, and shipping partners.

Independence: Manage daily tasks with minimal supervision while staying aligned with team priorities.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory-related role (interior design industry experience a plus).

Strong organizational skills—you love a good system and keeping things on track.

Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for quality.

Proficiency in Excel (bonus points if you can create formulas and pivot tables).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently AND collaborate well with a team.

Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items safely.

A proactive, solution-oriented mindset—you don’t wait to be told what’s next, you anticipate it.

This is the room that inspired MY fireplace and living room layout! I had James build a faux fireplace that looks like this but has no electric or gas…. He was not on board but did it anyway. My thoughts are - in Florida we never really use the fireplace, so why spend the money. Build the box, install the beautiful tile inside, and add the fireballs 💥 now it looks just like this PERFECT!

Amy Lou’s team has designed, decorated, remodeled, and staged homes throughout Sarasota, Manatee, and Pinellas County in communities such as The Concession, Bay Isles, Harbor Isles, The Lake Club, The Vinoy, Lakewood Ranch Country Club, Siesta Key, LongBoat Key, and Pinellas Point.
