Join Main Street Mercantile as a Store Manager and help run a community-focused, multi-vendor retail co-op. This role supports daily store operations, customer service, and vendor coordination. Full-time position available. Pay based on experience.
What you’ll do:
• Oversee daily store operations (opening/closing), cash handling, and POS accuracy
• Lead, train, and schedule staff/volunteers to deliver consistent customer service
• Coordinate with vendors: onboarding, booth/shelf assignments, communication, and issue resolution
• Maintain merchandising standards and signage across multiple vendor displays
• Manage vendor sales reporting/payout support
• Support promotions, in-store events, and community outreach to drive traffic
What we’re looking for:
• Retail supervisory/management experience preferred (
• Strong customer service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Comfortable with POS systems, basic computer tools (email, spreadsheets), and simple reporting
• Highly organized; able to balance multiple vendors, tasks, and priorities
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Flexible availability (including some weekends)
