Update time here at cat drama central!!! After yesterday's record number of skirmishes including the very loudest vocals so far, this happened. Purdy bravely entered enemy territory downstairs. He walked the perimeter, checking for escape routes. The dogs slepted blissfully unaware for at least 15 min. At the time I had NO idea where either cat was. But it was completely quiet. Not a peep. When I finally got up and checked Purdy was under this cabinet, fairly relaxed. Kitty Gurl was on alert under the table about 5 feet away. Of course my moving around changed things, KG growled. I grabbed up both dogs and we went outside. I really fear one of them being caught in the middle. Still neither dog realized what was going on, so they didn't contribute barking to the glare down. I left them in the mudroom and came back in. I could tell Purdy wanted to get back upstairs, KG had his access cut off. I am not sure where KG received her training in war time strategies but she learned them well. By this point Purdy had had enough. Dogs were barking like crazy, Kitty Gurl was doing that weid screaming with her mouth closed. I created a distraction, and mama called Purdy upstairs. He army crawled his way to safety. Battle over for now. No casualties.
