Happy Friday y'all it's cataract surgery day. I am feeling pretty good about it, the reassuring news about Radar on Wed really helped me unclench. I don't go in today til after lunch, and should be home about 4. Then a huge sigh of relief, and a quiet weekend to follow. I'm sharing this pretty shelf in my bedroom for I don't think any seller has actually identified these pieces as French. But something about a leaning stack of pretty frames has a french vibe to me. My small collection of woven bags sits with them, with more hanging below the shelf. These two are my most recent. The adorable spa cup holder is from Kylie .gathered and the larger purse is from Alicia both these ladies bring the goods, every sale. I have to limit my views, I find it toooo tempting!

A little peek at a couple of things I've never shared for . I think the chippy white mirror from Robin and the German cardstock piece from Steph are perfect together. And I managed to avoid catching myself, or the ceiling fan, in the mirror, so yay! My bedroom is so bright and glare is always an issue so I am happy for the morning light. Off with Radar in an hour, fingers crossed.

Tea time? I wish! This morning I see my hip surgeon for my second cortisone shot in my "good" hip. Then grab mama for our chiro appt. Tomorrow Radar sees the specialist at Blue Pearl, I am afraid his issues are beyond the sore back. I am trying not to panic, but some new symptoms have presented in the last few days. I am so glad we have the appt. I feel like we will have some answers tomorrow. So back to the pretties I distracted myself with. This lovely bluebird teacup and saucer, and the amazing postcard are recent buys from Christie and the clock face is from Kathy the ration card is from a few years back and it is such a forever favorite. I believe it was my first purchase from Lauren y'all know I love the bluebird tins and china, but also all the weird things that are bluebird related. I have a crate, some cigar labels, button card, a box for a stove part. If it's bluebird keep me in mind. That's how I "met" Lauren, my girl Amanda spotted that card for me. Anyway sharing for and if I had a cloche to put over it, I would have. Sorry Susan

Give me all the timeworn pieces. Quilts and feed sacks draped over everything. Hand made pillows and precious needlework, made decades ago. Throw in some plants, rusty and chippy vessels, and all the weathered and worn woods you can find. That's my recipe for a layered, and loved home. I don't think either of my grandmama's were especially "cozy" types. But my husband's grandma was, I think Bernice Burns would love to sit with me, or take a tour of my treasures. She loved to cook, enjoyed her treats and talk just as much as I do. Whatever your plans remember the reason for the extra day off.

Happy Saturday y'all. Sharing a favorite view and one of the two places I have been parked with Radar all week. He has required constant monitoring and 4 medications given throughout the day. But he is beginning to show improvement. He will see a neurologist on Wed, the same Blue Pearl speciaist that got us through the previous back injury. Meanwhile turns out that worrying about Radar has completely kept my mind occupied and off my upcoming cataract surgery. I know that it's considered routine, but it's my first one. Everyone stay safe this long weekend. Also please remember Monday is a day we honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We owe a debt of gratitude to them and their families.

Well, it's still Wednesday and I always try to join Kristan for when I can. Even if it's late. I also haven't had a chance to show Donna what's in my favorite bucket this week either. So it seemed perfect. I was on the couch and I realized that the bucket on the coffee table would look SO good on this perfectly worn stool. Nobody has asked me yet if I intend to leave it there. They probably won't have to, it's in the path that Shortie and Kitty Gurl take as they run laps round my house. One close call will bring me to my senses, but for now it sure looks cute. If you know me you know I love my animals. If you've been around a while you may also remember Radar had a pretty serious back injury 3 yrs ago. We avoided surgery, but it was very slow going and it took him a long time to fully recover. He is dealing with another one now for the last week. His activity level has increased having a younger brother in the house, and it's caught up with him. He's on some strong medications and we have an appt with a specialist next week. I am hoping the enforced rest will get him back on track. Keep us in your hearts❤ friends.

A little early for a Father's day post but these gardenias were grown by my daddy. We moved the summer before I started 9th grade, 1973. I had lived in the same small town most of my life. It was hard. I was awful, acting out and getting into trouble, I know now I was figuring out who I was. And it took a while. But the whole time my parents were steady. They had to have been shocked, I knew better after all. I was raised better. My mama was having a tough adjustment herself, she had left good friends. We were rural after being in a small neighborhood. The property was ugly and bare. Mama liked gardenias, daddy planted some, then he began to grow more from cuttings. We had gardenias everywhere. When they built a house and moved again after I was married, he took those cuttings and after clearing the property he started planting again. My sister lives in that house now, we visited yesterday. They had much needed rain last week and the dozens and dozens of 8ft plants began to bloom. Just in time for us, mama was so happy. I had to be reminded to cut a bouquet, my brother in law found one of mama's favorite vases, and we started cutting. These are off of one bush, and you couldn't tell we'd even touched it. When we got home, mama said daddy would be so proud. He was a quiet man, surrounded by noisy talkative women. He showed his love with actions, and that steady reliability. He's been gone since 2007. But his planting successes, since 1959 for me, 1973 for those plants, still live on.

It's y'all and Kitty Gurl is enjoying the sunrise. A silhouette is all my aloof girl wanted to share. And around here we are grateful for what we can get. She is not the effusive type, but we are permitted to serve her. She saves that over the top, adoration nonsense for the dogs to provide.

Just a little glimpse of my upstairs enclosed porch in the evening light. This French daybed was a Marketplace impulse buy, that I was regretting til we hauled her upstairs. She is so pretty, so perfect in this space. I don't have much time to sit and relax up there, but it's a beautiful view from my bedroom. And It's Kitty Gurl's retreat at night. The two of us do enjoy a girlie space. It's not too late to share for be sure to tag the hosts, they're the best🌹
