Heat Alert: When You Pick Matters for Perfect Tomatoes 🍅

• Harvesting during the hottest hours (9 A.M.–5 P.M.) makes tomatoes limp or mushy
• Evening picking causes excess moisture and diluted flavor
• For peak sweetness and juiciness, pick early in the morning when they’re cool, fully hydrated, and sugar-rich

How to Grow a Bushy Wandering Jew (Tradescantia zebrina) – From a First-Time Grower’s POV 🌿👇

Here’s what I’ve learned growing this beauty into a lush, full hanging plant:

1. Pinch to Win – The #1 trick? Pinch the tips regularly. Every time you pinch a growing tip, the plant sends energy to side shoots, creating that dense, bushy look. It feels counterintuitive at first (like you’re stopping growth), but trust me — it multiplies the fullness fast.

2. Bright Indirect Light – I hung mine near a bright window where it gets loads of indirect sun. Too little light = leggy. Too much direct sun = scorched stripes.

3. Bottom Watering FTW – I place the pot in a dish of water and let it soak for 30 minutes. Keeps the roots happy and prevents rot around the crown.

4. Feed Lightly – A balanced liquid fertilizer every 2–3 weeks in spring/summer works wonders for vibrant growth and those purple/green stripes.

5. Re-pot or Trim Roots if Leggy – When it gets root-bound or straggly, I give it a bigger pot or snip long vines to root in water and replant — a free plant refresh!

Now my Wandering Jew is a vibrant, cascading showstopper — and yes, it really is as easy and rewarding as it looks 💜🌿 Find out other houseplants like wandering jew here: https://mideas.co/GfUnP

CRACK GREEN BEANS
5 regular cans of green beans, drained (note: you can substitute a similar amount of frozen green beans, about 4 (12-ounce) bags, thawed, or you can use fresh green beans, too)
12 slices bacon
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
7 teaspoons soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
Put the drained beans in a 9x13 pan. Add the cooked bacon pieces. Mix the remaining ingredients ( the crack sauce). Pour over the beans and bake 40 minutes at 350. Toss and serve
