Glass Flower Class, April 5, 4-6 p.m., $65
Learn to make colorful custom glass flowers that will never fade or wilt. Give them as gifts or keep them for yourself. In this class, you will make either three flowers on clear glass OR one larger poppy on colored glass, each mounted on a copper stem. Ready-made artist-created flowers also will be available for sale, so you can make a bouquet. To register, call (360) 265-0510. Spaces are limited. (Or, if you'd like to arrange a class for a group of friends, your family, or co-workers, call about a date and time). Location is Collective Visions Gallery, 331 Pacific Ave., Bremerton, 98337.

Calypso Glass is proud that our student-created fused glass art pieces created by Jr. K through sixth graders raised approximately $30,000 at the 2017 Charles Wright Academy auction. We were happy to partner once again with CWA's talented art teachers and students on these one-of-a-kind fused glass art treasures that included food serving sets, glass flower gardens, glass house "quilts," butterfly bowls, alcohol ink tiles, and a two-tier serving cart.

This lovely fused glass heron, on a glassy black pebbly beach beside crystalline glass sparkling water, is now making its home perched on a ledge at a waterfront residence near the south end of Dyes Inlet where real blue herons are frequent visitors.
