Knot Forgotten

Knot Forgotten Reimagining the old to make it new again...ensuring it's Knot Forgotten! Why Knot Forgotten? Four years ago, I started on this journey to follow my passion.

I was a mom struggling with postpartum depression and was looking for a productive outlet to try and
heal. That is when Knot Forgotten was born. Knot- represents the knots in wood. Forgotten- because in addition to working with wood, I was repurposing old furniture. Together, I was “Reimagining the old and making it new again...ensuring it's Knot Forgotten!”

Then came 03/04/21 - A day that has fo

rever changed my life and everything I thought I knew…

On this day, I gave birthday to my son Elijah at 21 weeks. As a mom of four, I took for granted how blessed I was. I carried my son Elijah through the first
trimester, heard his heartbeat on three separate occasions, and just assumed that I would be bringing
him home. This was not the case. Since then, the simplest things carry a deeper meaning and appreciation in my life, like baby’s breath. This delicate flower is overlooked in flower bouquets and used mostly as filler, but it truly makes the
floral arrangements whole and beautiful. To me baby’s breath is the most precious thing we take for
granted - figuratively and literally. This is the one thing I could not give my son Eli, breath. It’s the one thing I just assumed would be
there…

During this season of my life, Knot Forgotten has taken on a different meaning. After navigating through
a year and a half of the storm I never thought that I would find myself in, I was at a point where I started
giving myself permission to live again. I had to reflect and decide if Knot Forgotten was still me… (I had stepped back from furniture because I
was trying to paint huge pieces in my kitchen and dining room- not conducive for a family)
Little did I know that during this reflection, it became clearer that Knot Forgotten held a deeper
connection in my life story than I could ever imagine. It is more powerful and relevant today, then when
the name was curated in 2018. I will continue to bring the same love and dedication to ensuring all the merchandise I have delicately
chosen or made will reflect my passion. I will not take for granted the beauty and simplicity that can be
found all around us. I want you to walk away from Knot Forgotten knowing that you make difference,
the loved ones you find unique gifts for matter, and those we loved and lost… will be Knot Forgotten
