One of the most humbling things about owning a small business is knowing that none of this happens without someone choosing me.

Choosing my work.
Trusting my vision.
And deciding that what I create is worth investing in.

And I don’t think I’ll ever stop being grateful for that.

Especially after weekends like this one — being given creative freedom, watching an entire color story come to life, and then hearing the sweetest compliments from my couple, their families, and their guests. 🥹

Every inquiry, every signed contract, every wedding means someone looked at my work and thought, “I want her to create this part of our day.”

That will never feel small to me.

Not all floral quotes are created equal… and this is why you can’t always compare Florist A to Florist B 🌸

One florist may quote you using:
• premium roses
• premium hydrangea
• higher stem counts
• stronger mechanics
• more labor
• intentional flower recipes
• a mix of premium + standard blooms to strategically stretch your budget without sacrificing the look

While another florist may still be learning the difference between flower grades, stem quality, bloom size, recipes, processing, or where to strategically invest the budget.

And neither automatically makes one florist “better” than the other.

But it DOES explain why floral quotes can vary by thousands of dollars even when inspiration photos look similar.

There’s also Florist C…
who may quote ALL premium blooms for everything. 👀

The point is:
you’re not just paying for flowers.
You’re paying for experience, product knowledge, mechanics, sourcing, efficiency, problem solving, design style, and years of trial + error behind the scenes.

Two bouquets can look similar in a photo while being built with completely different products and approaches.

And honestly? Most couples would never know the difference — until wedding day.

Are you ready for another tip ?

Let’s say I need 160 roses for a wedding.

Roses come in packs of 100, which means I need to order 200 anyway. Most people would assume I should order 200 of the largest, most expensive roses available. If I am after the best results …

But experience has taught me otherwise.

Instead, I may order 100 premium 60–70cm roses for the focal areas and 100 slightly shorter 50cm roses for areas where the difference won’t be noticed. And now I just got you 40 extra roses to make your arrangements even fuller !!

The result? The lush, luxurious look, and a floral budget that works smarter.

This isn’t about cutting corners. It’s about knowing where every stem belongs.

After 15+ years in this industry, I’ve learned that creating beautiful wedding flowers isn’t just about design. It’s about understanding product, planning ahead, and making intentional decisions long before a single flower goes into an arrangement.

Anyone can order flowers.

Knowing how to maximize them? That’s where experience comes in. ✨
