POV: Trying to explain occupied staging to someone who’s unfamiliar… 🗣️

See, the trick is to make a house feel warm, styled, and lived in without it feeling like too much of an acquired taste…you have to insert the perfect amount of charm but make it feel effortless and not so “try hard”. See, you want to add personality while still leaving room for the imagination. You don’t want buyers to feel overwhelmed or underwhelmed…Clean and organized but not barren or bland—it’s not a museum. Interesting enough, but not to over the top. The home should stand out (in a good way) but not over the top. Less is more, it’s all about balance…

Trickier than it looks but we like to think we make it look it easy. 😉 💕

A day late, but every day should be Mother’s Day. 🍓

This Mother’s Day felt especially meaningful for me. My newest little addition came 14 years after my first, and motherhood at this age looks very different than it once did. Slower in some ways, faster in others, but with a much deeper appreciation for the little moments I may have rushed through years ago.

Motherhood is the most rewarding full-time job there is… but balancing motherhood, life, and running a business is also very real. The constant shifting and balancing between nurturing family and showing up for work takes a kind of strength and sacrifice only moms truly understand.

Wishing all the moms out there a beautiful Mother’s Day — the working moms, stay-at-home moms, single moms, business owners, stepmoms, grandmas, first-time moms, seasoned moms, and every woman giving her heart to motherhood in her own way. 💐 🌺

To all the women doing it all — in whatever way that looks for you — I see you, and I hope you felt celebrated every single day. 🤍

The styled soap, the perfectly placed faux fruit, the little moments that make a space feel lived in without actually being lived in. When we stage, we go beyond the obvious—layering in these close-up touches to create visual interest and keep everything far from bland or expected.

When life gives us lemons, we use them to stage! 🍋

Let’s talk about “Occupied Staging”—not always the most glamorous part of our job, but totally transformative…

We walk into a lived in furnished home (this one we never even saw in person beforehand 😱) and often in just ONE DAY, we rework what’s already there— rearranging furniture, editing down the clutter, and layering in pieces from our warehouse inventory to elevate the space. 🛋️

It’s not as easy as starting from a blank canvas. The home could have years of memories still echoing through its halls and we must create a space where someone can envision their family living there. It’s about seeing the potential and helping others realize what could be.

Sometimes the best transformations come from come from knowing how to use what’s already right in front of you. It’s about quick thinking, creative instinct, improvising, and a little magic under pressure. There may be limited time, budget, and resources, but we have unlimited vision. 👁️ 😉
