What are YOU reading?! π
I go through audiobooks pretty quickly - Thank goodness for the amazing selection on Libby and Hoopla from Brookings Public Library! If you have trouble focusing on housework or simple repetitive tasks, motivating yourself to mow the lawn or start a walking routine I swear that audiobooks can be like a super power to tackle those tasks!!
Recently listened to and LOVED 'The Collected Regrets of Clover.' It ran the gamut of emotions and was a very sweet and easy listen!
Just finished Matthew Perry's book. Oooff, had me thinking of all the wild things from A Million Little Things and My Friend Leonard and wonder how much of his life was spent in a haze where you fill in the blanks. A very entertaining listen, but so sad with the ending we all know.
'How Ya'll Doin' was a fantastic little pallette cleanser from my usual thrillers! Was there a greater voice in show biz than Leslie Jordan? It was like a long stand-up routine with lots of fun Hollywood gossip, and stories that make you giggle and think!
'We Begin at the End' might make my Top 10 Favorites for 2026. It's similar to Broken Country, but it has a HUGE number of characters! You almost need to make Little notes about who is who - but it's soo worth it!
I also listened to my first Kristin Hannah book last week - 'The Women.' Beautiful. Devastating. Frustrating. I struggle with historical fiction, but I loved this and I'm looking forward to reading more of her books.
I'm just starting 'The Bright Years' by Sarah Damoff. The narrator is not my favorite π¬ but I'm enjoying the story! π I read actual books too, just not at the same rate! I'm working on Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. With summer almost here, I end up sitting outside or floating in the pool with a book in my lap more often. I'm excited to dig into all these books I've stashed!
Have you read any of these? I'd love to hear your thoughts too!
