Heads up! Minnesota Clay Co. is going to be closed on May 23rd and 25th for Memorial Day weekend! If there’s anything you plan to come in for, make sure to come in before! Of course we will also see you bright and early that Tuesday morning as well! Happy Holidays!

Flecks and Specks ceramic grog is now sold at Minnesota Clay Company! is a small artists owned and operated company based in Montana. Flecks and Specks ceramic grog can be incorporated into clay via wedging, pressing into the surface, or sprinkling onto glaze. We are so excited to introduce this product to you guys!

The wait is over! Mayco’s new Stoneware Kits and Ritual Glaze sample packs just hit the shelves here at Minnesota Clay! This is the best way to test out their new products before committing to the pint. If you’ve been curious about the special effects glazes in the Ritual Line, now’s your chance to give them a whirl. The Stoneware Kit is $30, and the Ritual Glaze Kit is $25. Available in store and online!

A quick update for those who have not seen the sign in our window, but we will be closed the next two Saturday’s, the 28th due to a big pottery conference, and the 4th for Easter weekend. Please plan to stop in during the week (our normals hours 8-4:30 are correct) if there’s anything you might need, or you can always give us a call or shoot us an email! Thank you all so much!

We just got some new tools in! Dirty Girls has come out with some new wood ribs so we’ve snagged a bunch for you to try! Let us know which one is your favorite, and come check them out in person at our new spot!

Minnesota Clay is excited to announce that we are moving to a new location! Our new space on Boone Ave will be twice as large in both retail and manufacturing, with updated fixtures and much more room to display equipment and new products. As you can imagine, this will be quite an undertaking, and after due consideration we have decided to close our retail store for the last 2 weeks of December in order to complete the move. We hope to welcome you into our new retail space in early January 2026!

The last day to shop in our retail store is Saturday, December 22nd! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions in the meantime!

Got some new tools from today and oh my GOSH look at how cute they are!

The new Snow Plow and Winter Hat tools are fun reminders that winter is on the way! The Travel Mug rib is perfect for on-the-go mugs, and how about those cute little cookie tins! Each contains four mini ribs in the shape of different cookies with a cute tin to keep them all together. (Yes, the tin is correct they are not edible, we know they look good but trust us on this one.)

And if your wooden ribs are in need of some TLC, these new care kits include some products and guides for how to keep them looking like new again! The included Bevel Gauge can also show you if your ribs are starting to wear down from use.

We should have them online soon or stop by to pick one up! They would make great gifts too. 😉

Wax is super helpful when it comes to decorating your pieces, but with snow in the forecast (yes, it’s time ❄️) we’d like to take this moment to remind you to keep your wax WARM! Once the temperatures start to be below freezing on a regular basis, we will no longer be able to ship wax resist of any kind! That’s because wax cannot be recovered if frozen. If you are able to visit us in person you can still pick it up in store. We will do our best to remind you to keep it warm then too ☺️
