You may be burning your candle wrong and this is how you can fix that! You want to make sure that your candle has fully pooled on its first burn and this applies to any regardless of size or kind! This will make sure that you have maximum throw meaning that the scent of the candle will fill your space and wax has memory. It will make sure that you’re not having a tunnel in the middle of your candle. By burning a candle for only a little bit each time you’re making the candle burn quicker, not using all of the wax and reducing its scent potential. So make sure when you light your candle, you’re doing it when you have time to enjoy it.

These candles are indigenous handcrafted by and contain indigenous and ethically sourced plants and oils. This is our Birch and Lily scent that is both soft and floral with a warm woody finish.

Maple syrup was used to seasoned food in lieu of salt and it was also traded. Cranberries were used as food when mixed with bare fat and they were used to textile and porcupine quills. I’ve added indigenous and ethically, sourced, maple syrup, cranberry oil, and even wild cinnamon that’s indigenous to Florida and the Caribbean islands to my candles and soap. These are indigenous handcrafted and available from

Embrace the autumn season with this native and indigenous scent inspired by the season of change and giving- Maple Cranberry is warm, sweet, and inviting.

Natives tribes like the Haudenosaunee and Mi’kmaq used maple for trading and to season food rather than salt. Algonquin, Lenape, and Chippewa used cranberries mixed with bear fat to make pemmican or to dye textiles like porcupine quills.

For our candles, this mix of maple sweetness is balanced by tart cranberry. It is rounded out by a hint of cinnamon scent from the Wild Cinnamon that is native to Florida and the Caribbean.

Our Soap has 100% all natural maple syrup added in which helps to calm sensitive skin while cranberry works to strengthen the skin barrier. Wild Cinnamon adds anti-microbial properties to this soap.

Let this sweet and inviting fragrance fill your home this season and celebrate, remember, and appreciate native and indigenous culture with this scent!
