The home is shaped around gathering, both indoors and out—continuing a legacy of hospitality that has defined the adobe since its earliest days.
From the beginning, the intention was to create a place that could hold everything from large communal meals to quieter, more private moments. Within walls that have witnessed generations—moments of tension, ceremony, and daily life—the architecture now supports a renewed rhythm of coming together.
Spaces open outward into courtyards and gardens, where boundaries between inside and outside dissolve. The addition creates a backdrop for outdoor living, while the original adobe anchors the experience with intimacy and enclosure, its presence grounding every interaction.
There is a deliberate balance between expansive and contained. Long tables and open terraces invite gathering, while smaller rooms, shaded walkways, and tucked-away corners offer retreat. The home moves fluidly between these conditions—gathering, lingering, dispersing—always returning to a shared center.
