KIBO Residences - early construction progress

感知 → 揭現 → 築構
在KIBO住宅的改造歷程中，我們首先感知建築被歲月覆蓋的本質。當拆除工程層層剝離，那些斑駁的磚牆肌理與原始結構骨架逐漸揭現。我們以材料的真實性為根基，讓自然光影與建築質地在此對話，共同構築這個不斷演變的空間故事。

At KIBO Residences, we sense the story beneath the surface—demolition peels back decades of layers, uncovering patinated brick walls and bare floor framing. We ground these revelations in material honesty, weaving light, shadow, and texture into the evolving KIBO narrative.

Residence SN, Upper East Side NYC - apartment renovation in progress
Once flat white walls and shelves felt shallow, leaving the hearth overbearing. We brushed on layers of warm white, soft clay and pale green; gentle daylight warms the hues and unveils hidden texture in this Upper East Side flat.

在這間位於上東區的公寓，原本牆面與層架潔白而單薄，使壁爐顯得格外突兀。因此我們重新梳理空間的比例與視覺重心，以暖白打底，疊加陶土與淡綠的柔和筆觸，層層染出豐富卻不張揚的背景語彙。如今柔和的晨光漫入，溫潤了整個空間的色調，也讓隱藏在牆面的細膩質地悄然浮現。

Residence VK, Brooklyn - bathroom renovation

我們將原有冷硬的大理石瓷磚和配件，轉化為溫暖且富有觸感的材質體驗。米白色的手工磚定下基調，定製的洞石洗手台與黃銅配件為空間帶來溫暖與深度。透過簡潔而講究的材質選擇，打造一個既有日常感又能讓人慢下來的角落。

What began as a neutral, utilitarian space has transformed into a serene retreat. The subtle interplay of off-white handmade wall and floor tiles creates a backdrop, while the custom travertine sink anchors the space. Aged brass fixtures add a soft patina, inviting both the eye and hand to linger. Here, simplicity and craftsmanship speak for themselves.

Residence VK, Brooklyn - kitchen renovation

這間廚房經過全面改造，從過時的白櫥櫃黑檯面，轉變為溫潤的胡桃木質感空間。我們選用手工陶磚作為背牆，搭配訂製層架系統，在簡潔線條中融入自然溫暖。每個細節都經過考量：木紋走向、瓷磚拼接、層板比例，以減法設計突顯材質本質，打造出兼具實用與美感的廚房空間。

昔日的幽暗廊道，如今蛻變為一處喚醒感官的所在。歲月斑駁的紅磚牆面、融入地緣記憶的木構藝術、斜向木條天花自然引導動線，與腳下的深灰霧面地磚——每個元素都以沉靜的姿態，完美平衡新舊之間的對話。

A long-overlooked corridor becomes a quiet place to pause. Exposed brick and site-specific timber art nod to the building’s past, with slatted ceilings overhead and charcoal tile underfoot. Each step feels intentional; every surface speaks softly.

侘寂之境，始於街廓的日常：紅磚的斑駁質地、木格柵的細膩紋理，以及陽光在內斂線條間流轉的軌跡。這道門廊不僅銜接內外，更以沉靜的姿態，邀人緩步，感受空間的呼吸與脈動。

Our interpretation of Wabi Sabi begins at the street: the imperfect patina of brick, the subtle gesture of slatted wood, and the way sunlight dances across restraint. This entry isn’t just a threshold, it’s a quiet invitation to slow down.
