The NY Fairs start Sept 24th. They include The Armory Show, Independent and SPRING/BREAK Art Show. Previews are coming in and here’s what we’d buy and why:

-Each of these has tension between a formal sensibility and a playful one. That tension always has a lasting visual intrigue, much more so than any art that’s one note. Plus, these pieces all have a quiet energy. It’s apparent through the materials, composition, and palette. That energy feels appealing during this time of year when there’s a sense of getting back to work, embracing a change of season, and ending the year on a high note. Does anyone feel this too?

Step 2: Collect payment from client.
Step 3: Distribute payment to gallery and vendors, keeping agreed upon commission.

This streamlines the client experience, enables us to track payments, and simplified collecting commission.

This is apparent even to people who don’t know about art! There’s a particular type of backbone, interest, and energy that quality art has, and you can’t fake it with posters.

Mixing media is one of the easiest ways to create an interesting collection. ❤️

Thanks to Nima Design | by Maripi Aspillaga for bringing us into this project. We did this over about 12 months starting when the home renovation was wrapping up. The first priority wall was the last one we filled (with the Lizzy Gill)…you can’t plan the order in which you collect but you can be thoughtful, take some risks and end up with an incredible collection. ❤️
