Blackberry and Custard Brioche Doughnuts
Soft, pillowy brioche doughnuts are fried to golden perfection, filled with a sweet blackberry jam, and then topped with a creamy vanilla bean custard and a sprinkle of sugar.
Ingredients:
1 batch of homemade or store-bought brioche dough
Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Blackberry Jam Filling:
1 cup fresh blackberries
¼ cup granulated sugar
For the Vanilla Custard Topping:
1 cup whole milk
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 large egg yolks
½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
For Coating:
Granulated sugar
