It’s All in the Details | KBIS 2025

What elevates truly exceptional design? The subtle elements that might go unnoticed at first glance but create a lasting sensory experience.

Swipe through some of my favorite details from KBIS—double-stacked countertops creating visual rhythm, hardware that feels as good as it looks, unexpected cabinet curvature, and rich matte finishes in fresh color palettes.

These thoughtful touches transform functional spaces into experiential environments that express the essence of those who live there. It’s these details that clients interact with daily that ultimately define how a space feels.

Which detail caught your eye? The rounded cabinet edges or perhaps those layered countertops?

Welcome back to my brownstone storage diary...

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that bedrooms in a Brooklyn brownstone need smart storage for all our belongings, plus provide additional functions.

Of course, the built-in closets have been a game-changer, offering boutique-level organization. But I also managed to carve out space for our TV and entertainment cosole along with a his and hers workspace with built-in drawers and pullout desk area.

That’s the beauty of custom design: it fits your life, your space, and your style perfectly.

👉 I hope you enjoyed this series. Save it for later or share it with a friend.

Welcome back to my brownstone storage diary...

Today I am sharing some of my tried and tested ways to add space to hallways… the narrow, often-forgotten spaces deserve so much more.

In our Brooklyn brownstone, I turned our hallways into hard-working zones with custom built-ins for storage and to display our collection of handcrafted vases.

Every time I walk by them I appreciate how beautiful they turned out

Stay tuned for Part 3, where I’ll take you inside our bedroom and share how built-ins have turned our bedroom into a multi-functional space.

Living in a Brooklyn brownstone means every inch has to work harder. And whether a client requests them or not, I love to “surprise and delight” them by sneaking in built-ins wherever I can.

Join me in this 3 part series where I show you how…

First up: the kitchen. It’s kind of an obvious spot to add as many built-ins as possible. I have incorporated floor to ceiling cabinets, hidden pantry pull-outs, and seamless appliance panels.

👉 Stay tuned for Part 2 of my Built-In Storage Series.

Welcome back to my kitchen reno diary...

Not only was designing the kitchen for my family of 6 in a Brooklyn Brownstone a challenge... designing any space in New York City is a challenge in itself.

Living in a compact Brooklyn brownstone has taught us to be resourceful, finding innovative solutions that blend style with practicality.

As I mentioned before, if I had the chance to do it all over again, I wouldn’t shy away from embracing the unique quirks that make living and designing in NYC truly special.

✨ I hope this series has inspired you. Remember to like and save this post 🫶

Part 2:

Welcome back to my kitchen reno diary...

Today, I want to share how every corner is designed with purpose, making it the perfect hub for my family (but first, like and save this post 🫶)

In our narrow Brooklyn brownstone, creating a space that balances functionality and comfort was definitely a challenge. But the results have been equally rewarding.

Welcome to my kitchen...

This is where my family of 6(!) whip up delicious meals, tackle homework, and spend hours sharing our big dreams.

Living in a narrow Brooklyn brownstone has made designing a kitchen that meets our specific criteria and mile-long wish list, quite an adventure.
And If I had the chance to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

Monday Musings 💫

We often find the most meaningful interiors embrace imperfection - the vintage credenza with subtle wear marks, the handwoven textile with charming irregularities, the restored architectural detail that whispers tales of the past.

These elements bring soul to a space and tell your unique story. When we choose design pieces that bear the marks of time and use, we acquire a narrative that becomes part of our own.

What "imperfect" piece in your home brings you the most joy? Share in the comments below! 👇

🕯️ Timeless Luxury: Before electricity, Versailles' legendary mirrors served a brilliant purpose - transforming limited candlelight into an endless sea of illumination. Today's most sophisticated spaces still echo this royal technique, proving true luxury transcends time. ✨

Transform your own dim spaces by placing mirrors opposite windows or light sources - this centuries-old trick instantly doubles natural light and creates an airy, luxurious atmosphere. 🪞
